This course is the required 24-hour course to become a licensed Managing Broker in the State of Indiana.

The course is for those licensed agents that are considering opening a brokerage firm of their own. The course will work through the responsibilities of a managing broker regarding legal and taxation issues in forming a real estate company, recruiting agents, and lawful operations. The course will include how to choose a legal organization (sole proprietor, partnership, LLC or corporation), licensing issues, planning and logistics, agency, client representation, and Indiana law requirements.

**License Law Change**

As of July, 2025, the rules for becoming a managing broker have changed.

The new law requires that to qualify for the managing broker eligibility, one must:

1. hold an active broker license for at least 3 years in the State of Indiana;
2. complete a 24-hour managing broker course; AND 
3. take and pass an examination through Pearson VUE.
